Josh joined Hivenant Arborists in the spring of2012 as a Ground Technician.

Josh has a natural talent for keeping track of everything that is happening on the job site. No doubt he learned this skill and polished it to great effect during his more than 8 years working in busy restaraunt kitchens prior to coming to Trees Vermont!

Josh grew up in coastal Rhode Island where he graduated from South Kingstown High School in 2008. Post high school he went to URI for a year to study engineering. After his freshman year at URI he decided to earn is BS in forestry and Political science at UVM. He graduated in 2012 and now calls Burlington home

In addition to being joining the Trees Vermont Team, Josh also worked as a forester for Northwoods Forestry out of Montgomery Center and spends late winter working at the University of Vermont Proctor Maple Research Center making syrup and helping research better ways for maple production.

At the close of the 2012 season Josh found an awesome opportunity to develop his tree care and climbing skills and has since left our team. No doubt Josh will continue to bring a high level of excellence to the local arboricultural family!
