Wyatt came to arboriculture through the Urban Forestry job training program at Job Corps, a US Department of Labor traing program for youth.
The minute Wyatt walked through the door we knew we had a winner! Wyatt completed his WBL term with us and we found a way to extend it until his graduation. From there he slid into a summer position with us.
At the end of that summer he went to work with a large national tree company to work on the Asian Long horned Beetle project in New Jersey and New York. Within a short period of time the USDA Forest Service brought Wyatt into their employ to track down the damaging insects.
Over the course of several years Wyatt has found himself looking for the bug in several other states including Massachusetts and Ohio. He has since left the ALB project and is now a Smoke Jumper (Airborne Wildland Firefighter) based in Alaska.
Wyatt always finds time to come back and hang with our crew. Often he has taken vacation just to climb with us.
Wyatt is family to us and his name is etched on our "permanent" roster.
